In this article we will review the definitions of terms used in the Portfolio Performance view (the view your investors see).

Initial Investment #

Your Initial Investment into the deal.

This is the same value you would have configured in the Configuration for this view. If you also have allowed for investors to change this value they will be able to do so in the section below the Deal Details.

Total Years #

The total number of years used to illustrate the results.

This is the value you would have configured in the Configuration for this view under “Simulate Years”. If you also have allowed for investors to change this value they will be able to do so in the section below the Deal Details.

Portfolio Value #

Portfolio value at the end of the projected years. This value includes both invested assets and any proceeds from any sales available at the end of the quarter.

Last Quarter Distributions #

The amount that is distributed in the last projected quarter.

Total Contributions #

The amount that is distributed in the last projected quarter.

If Invested in S&P500 #

The projected portfolio value if you did the same invesments into the S&P 500. This number is based on the average S&P500 return over the last 30 years of 11.13%.

Equity Multiple #

The Equity Multiple for a the deal. Assumes all future deals have same returns.

Yearly Distributions #

The Yearly Distributions for a the deal. Assumes all future deals have same returns.

Hold Period #

The Hold Period for a the deal. Assumes all future deals have same returns.

Additional Yearly Investment #

Additional amount you plan to contribute at the beginning of each year.
